Hitachi is introducing a new range of wall mounted and floor mounted units to the popular RAC range, as well as upgrading other models in the packaged air conditioning range

Hitachi’s new ‘Cut Out’ range of units, which will be available during Spring 2008, combines a stylish new design with a choice of colours, including white & dark silver or beige & chocolate. Both the floor and wall mounted units will be available alongside the current range of RAC units and will be offered with 2.5kW, 3.5kW and 5.0kW capacities.
The floor mounted units have been designed to offer maximum mounting flexibility, as they can either be free-standing using a detachable stand, or attached to a wall with the stand removed.
Wall mounted units will be introduced into both the Multizone and Summit product lines. Multizone units to be made available first, shortly followed by the wall mounted Summit units.
And it keeps getting better
The coming year will also see additions and enhancements to a number of other Hitachi ranges. These include two versions of Utopia condensing units – the Deluxe IVX range from 2.0HP through to 12.0HP and a Standard ES (Economy + Small) range from 3.0HP through to 10.0HP.
RASC centrifugal condensing units will be upgraded to Inverter type during 2008, while a 3.0HP model will also be added to the range. This new model will feature horizontal scroll compressors to make the unit more compact and will be available in single, twin, triple and quad configurations.
Our Mini-VRF range also continues to expand, with the planned launch of a new three phase FSYNE model in 2008. This will be available in 4.0, 5.0 and 6.0HP models.
There are also changes planned for the FSN 2-pipe VRF range, with updates to FSN1 specification during 2008. This will provide significant improvements in EER/COP, while the single compressor and newly designed refrigerant cycle reduces the overall weight of the unit by 45kg. On the grounds that less is more, refrigerant volumes are also being reduced by 1kg.
Crucially, FSN1 models are fully compatible with existing FSN models, so there are no barriers to mixing the two in the same installation.
